Product description
- Also for granite and marble composite
- Protects against dirt and (grease) stains
HG natural stone impregnating protector is a special pre-treatment for marble and other types of natural stone such as travertine, bluestone, etc., but is also extremely suitable for concrete tiles with pieces of natural stone incorporated, such as granito and marble composite. This unique product penetrates deep into the pores of the natural stone and thus stops the absorption action. This prevents the penetration of dirt and (grease) stains, without affecting the original character of the natural stone or sealing off the floor from moisture from below, so the floor can continue to "breathe", as it were. This product contains no silicones, dries quickly and can be used both indoors and outdoors. 1 litre is good for 10 to 50 m², depending on the porosity of the floor.
Instructions for use
- The surface must be completely clean, free of grease and dust
- For any necessary treatments: see the HG natural stone floors treatment matrix on the side of this bottle
- The glue/substance and joints of new floors must be fully cured and dry
- This usually takes 4-6 weeks
- Existing floors must be completely dry after cleaning; allow at least 3 days for this to happen
- However, highly porous tiles, such as sand-lime brick, require more time to completely lose the water
- For this type of natural stone, we recommend at least 1 week
- However, if the floor has underfloor heating switched on, a drying time of 24 hours is sufficient
- The underfloor heating must be switched off for at least 12 hours before treatment with this product
- The liquid must be applied pure and, preferably, evenly in one direction using a paint roller
- On (high) gloss floors, this product must be applied and rubbed with a lint-free cloth
- If, 10 minutes after application, there is still some product on the natural stone that has not been absorbed, remove it immediately with a dry and lint-free cloth
- For very porous tiles, a 2nd treatment is recommended
- A second coat can be applied about 1 hour after the first treatment
- Approximately 3 hours after the last treatment the floor can be walked on normally again and 12 hours after the last treatment the floor is fully protected
- Consumption: Highly porous natural stone: 10-20 m2 per litre
- Less porous and high-gloss natural stone: 20-50 m2 per litre
